Purpose
Banyan will only egress to its partners information on the payment that was sent by that partner. However, there are times where more than one payment is used on a single transaction in store or online. Since this will cause some confusion around the difference between item amounts and payment totals, Banyan has included a flag that marks when a receipt is a split tender. This should help you in diagnosing any issues related to payment vs item total amounts.
